Nurburgring Nordschleife Coming to Assetto Corsa Competizione

Assetto Corsa Competizione features some of the most famous racetracks in the world from Monza to Silverstone, with DLC packs adding more locations in recent years. One of the most requested tracks, however, is the Nurburgring Nordschleife. Despite appearing in the original Assetto Corsa, the 15.7-mile-long circuit has never featured in Assetto Corsa Competizione.

Fortunately, we won’t have to wait much longer to experience the Green Hell in one of the best sim racers on the market, because Kunos Simulazioni has confirmed the Nurburgring Nordschleife is finally coming to Assetto Corsa Competizione.

Rumours of the Nurburgring Nordschleife coming to Assetto Corsa Competizione first surfaced in July when the famous circuit was teased on the official International GT Challenge X (formerly Twitter) page.

Now, Kunos Simulazioni has confirmed the Nurburgring Nordschleife will join Assetto Corsa Competizione’s track list in Spring 2024 as part of a Season 2024 GT World Challenge DLC pack. Coinciding with the Fanatec GT World Challenge’s debut at next year’s Nurburgring 24 Hours race, the DLC will be available on PC and consoles.

A short teaser trailer gives us a first look at the Nurburgring Nordschleife in Assetto Corsa Competizione, showcasing highly detailed track textures. Every circuit is painstakingly laser-scanned, so Assetto Corsa Competizione’s recreation of the Green Hell will be the most accurate yet.

Based in Germany, the Nurburgring Nordschleife is one of the most demanding tracks in the world, with a mix of steep elevation changes and blind corners. Incidentally, the Nurburgring Nordschleife is also joining Forza Motorsport’s next Spring in a free update.

Assetto Corsa 2 delayed to Summer 2024

With the legendary German circuit joining Assetto Corsa Competizione, the Nurburgring will also likely appear in Assetto Corsa 2. Originally set for a Spring 2024 release, Assetto Corsa 2 has been delayed to Summer 2024, with Kunos Simulazioni focusing on launching ACC's Season 2024 GT World Challenge DLC pack in the Spring.

An Early Access release is planned for Steam, followed by a console release in the next fiscal year ending in July 2024.
