Is the Fanatec CSL DD worth it?
The CSL DD provides some of the best feedback possible, allowing you to really feel every aspect of the race, from the texture of the track to the rumble of your engine. That's all down to there being no belt or gear drive to dilute the force feedback effects, which is why a top direct drive wheel setup is at the pinnacle of the sim racing hierarchy.
Making it even better is the fact it's upgradable too. If you add Fanatec's Boost Kit 180 kit, you can hit 8 Nm of torque. You don't have to though, as 5 Nm of direct drive feedback will be more than enough for some.
