Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges May 2024 Week 1

As we enter May, a new set of Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges has arrived, with five extra races to enter over the next week. It’s another eclectic mix of events from snow racing in a Lamborghini SUV to battling it out in turbo sports cars.

Here’s everything you can expect in week one of Gran Turismo 7’s May Weekly Challenges.

Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges May 2024 Week 1

GT7’s Weekly Challenges update at midnight local time on Wednesday evenings or Thursday mornings depending on your time zone. You need to have completed GT Cafe Menu Book 39 and watched the ending movie to access them.

This week’s GT7 Weekly Challenges start on May 3 at midnight local time and end on May 10 at the same time.

Japanese FR Challenge 450

Tokyo Expressway – Central Clockwise – 2 laps

This week’s events start with a simple two-lap race on the tight Tokyo Expressway street circuit. You’ll need a Japanese road car with a front-engined, rear-wheel drive layout for this event. Despite the suggested 450 PP limit, there is no performance cap. However, you’ll only be rewarded 10,000 credits for first place so it’s not worth spending a lot on tuning.

American FR Challenge 550

Trial Mountain - Reverse – 3 laps

As the name suggests, you’ll also need an FR car for this three-lap race at Trial Mountain in reverse. This time, however, the event is restricted to American cars only. The Chevrolet Chevelle added in update 1.46 last week stars on the cover image, but any US FR car can be entered.

While a 550 PP limit is suggested, there are no performance restrictions. This is a more lucrative event, with 56,000 credits rewarded for victory.

Special Event – Lamborghini Urus One-Make

Lake Louise – Long Track - 3 laps

There’s a new Special Event this week putting you behind the wheel of the Lamborghini Urus SUV. You’ll be sliding around the Lake Louise snow circuit for three laps. Naturally, you’ll need to equip snow tyres for this event, which will earn you 50,000 credits if you finish first. There is no PP cap either, so you can tune up your Urus if you’re struggling to beat the competition with the stock SUV.

Race of Turbo Sportscars

Suzuka Circuit - 5 laps

Turbo sports cars are the theme of the next event, with a five-lap race around Suzuka. As you’ve probably already guessed, you’ll need a turbo-powered car to enter this event but it can’t exceed 700 PP. You’ll take home 70,000 credits for finishing first.

World Touring Car 800

Autodrome Lago Maggiore - 10 laps

The final race takes place at Autodrome Lago Maggiore. This is a ten-lap race with 20 cars on the grid. You can enter any car you like as long as it doesn’t go over 800 PP and is fitted with Racing tyres. There are also 8x fuel and 12x tyre wear limits, so don’t forget to schedule a pit stop. Cross the finish line first and you’ll win 168,000 credits.

For this week’s bonus prizes, you can win a 100,000 credit ticket for completing one event, while completing three events earns you a 200,000 credit ticket, and clearing all five events gives you a 200,000 credit ticket.

There are no roulette tickets, but it’s a good opportunity to top up your credit balance if you’re saving up for a specific car. Remember, you don’t need to win the events to claim these rewards – you only need to finish in third place or above.
