The Skoda Vision GT has been revealed and is on its way to Gran Turismo 7!
After the cars included in Update 1.46 were leaked earlier today, we knew this car was on the way.
The Skoda Vision GT is a landmark moment for Gran Turismo, as this is the first ever car from Skoda available in the Real Driving Simulator. So, let's dive into everything we know about the Skoda Vision GT in GT7!
Gran Turismo 7 Skoda Vision Reveal
Gran Turismo's "Vision" cars are all-electric concept cars from various manufacturers. They're also extremely high-performance, with some of the PP values close to a perfect 1,000.
While we don't know all the specs of the Skoda Vision GT yet, going off its design, it'll be very lightweight and produce over 1,000 bhp from its electric motors.
Skoda's Vision GT's design is based on the Skoda 1100 OHC Spyder that entered the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1957. Unlike its counterpart from the 50's, though, the Vision GT has a carbon monocoque chassis that makes it incredibly nimble and light.
In the green paint scheme that's been shown in the trailer and the promo material, this car looks gorgeous and we can't wait to take it to the virtual track for the first time!
What else is in Update 1.46?
The Skoda Vision GT isn't the only car included in Update 1.46 and it's not even the only concept car, either. Sony's first production car, the 2024 Afeela Prototype joins GT7 in this update.
There's also a blast from the past in the form of the 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454. Whilst the other two cars in this update are made in electric dreams, this is a pure muscle car from the golden age of American automotive prowess.
There should also be the usual bug fixes and quality of life improvements we expect in a GT7 update, but we'll need to see the full patch notes tomorrow when 1.46 goes live to be sure.
